Tadka Bread A great way to use up stale bread – you are sure to enjoy. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe. By Sanjeev Kapoor 13 Apr 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Advertisment Main Ingredients Bread, Oil Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 0-5 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Tadka Bread 6-8 Bread slices 1 tablespoon Oil 2 Green chillies 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds a pinch Asafoetida 5-7 Curry leaves 1 medium Onion finely chopped ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon Sugar to taste Salt for garnishing Fresh coriander leaves 1-2 tablespoons + a spring Method Roughly chop green chillies. Tear and grind the bread slices coarsely. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add cumin seeds, asafoetida, chillies and curry leaves and mix well. Add onion, mix and sauté till golden. Add turmeric powder, sugar and salt and mix well. Add breadcrumbs and mix well. Add some water and mix well. Add coriander leaves, mix, cover and cook for 3-5 minutes.
