Ingredients for Tetuler Chaatni Recipe

  • Tamirind 500 grams

  • Jaggery grated 400 grams

  • Mustard oil 1/2 cup

  • Panch phoran roasted and powdered 1 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Red chilli powder (deghi mirch) 1 teaspoon

  • Raisins 1 tablespoon


Step 1

Soak tamarind in half cup warm water, remove the pulp, strain and reserve. Heat mustard oil in a pan and add panch phoron powder and tamarind pulp and cook for few minutes.

Step 2

Add jaggery and cook till it melts, season it with salt, black pepper powder and roasted red chilli powder. Cook for two more minutes. Serve the chaatni garnished with raisins.
