Ingredients list for Thyme Paneer Sliders

  • 400 grams Paneer (cottage cheese) cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 8 Burger buns mini
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh thyme chopped
  • ½ cup Hung yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • to shallow fry Oil 2 tablespoons +
  • 4 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons Mustard paste
  • a few Iceberg lettuce leaves
  • 2 medium Tomatoes sliced
  • 1 medium Onion cut into roundels

Method

  1. Put yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, thyme, turmeric powder, salt, lemon juice, two tablespoons oil in a bowl and mix well.Add cottage cheese cubes and mix well. Refrigerate for two to three hours.
  2. Heat some oil in a non-stick grill pan. Place the marinated cottage cheese cubes in it and grill till evenly done form all sides. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. Halve the buns horizontally and toast them on the same pan. Set aside.
  4. Mix together the mayonnaise and mustard paste in a bowl.
  5. Apply the prepared mayo-mustard on both sides of the buns. Place some lettuce on half of the base half of the buns and top with two grilled cottage cheese cubes.
  6. Put tomato slices and onion roundels on top. Cover with remaining bun halves and secure with toothpicks.
  7. Serve immediately with potato chips.
