By Sanjeev Kapoor 09 Mar 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Brown Bread, Baked Beans Cuisine Mexican Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Tangy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Baked Beans On Toast 4 slices Brown Bread 100 grams Baked Beans 2 medium Onions 1 medium Green capsicum 2 tablespoons Butter 6 cloves Garlic sliced 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli flakes 1 tablespoon Red chilli sauce 3 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped a few sprigs Fresh parsley Method Preheat the oven to 180°C. Finely chop one onion and cut the other into rings. Separate the rings. Finely chop half a green capsicum and cut the rest into small triangles. Cut the brown bread slices with a cutter into smaller pieces. Place them on a baking tray and toast in the oven till crisp. Heat butter in a pan, add garlic and chopped onion and sauté till transluscent. Add red chilli flakes and stir. Add chopped green capsicum and stir. Add red chilli sauce and stir. Add baked beans and stir till well mixed. Turn the bread pieces and toast for two more minutes. Take them out of the oven and place them on a serving plate. Add coriander leaves to the baked beans and stir. Place a little of the topping mixture on each of the bread piece. Cut each onion ring into four pieces and place them on some of the toasts in a cross shape. Keep the green capsicum triangles on the remaining toasts. Garnish them all with a parsley leaf and serve immediately.
