This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 27 Jul 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Black Bengal Gram, Chana Masala Powder Cuisine Indian Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 5-6 hour Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Chana Hara Masala 1 cup Black Bengal Gram soaked overnight and boiled in salt water 2 tablespoons Chana Masala Powder 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds 3 small Onions 2 Green chillies 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste 1 medium Tomato 1/2 teaspoon Kashmiri red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon Dried mango powder (amchur) a pinch Black salt 1 teaspoon Chana masala powder 1 1/2 cups Fresh coriander leaves roughly chopped 1/2 cup Fresh mint leaves roughly chopped to taste Salt Juice of ¼ lemon Method Heat oil in a non-stock pan, add cumin seeds and sauté till fragrant. Slice onions thinly and add to the pan. Roughly chop green chillies and add and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté till light golden. Roughly chop tomato and add to the pan. Add Kashmiri red chilli powder, dried mango powder, black salt, chana masala powder and mix well. Add coriander leaves and mint leaves and mix well. Transfer the mixture into a mixer jar and grind using boiled gram water as required. Heat another non-stick pan, add boiled gram, ½ cup boiled gram water, ground mixture and allow to boil. Add salt and lemon juice and cook, stirring continuously, for 3-4 minutes. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
