Chicken Salona A tasty and delicious chicken recipe with the flavor of dried lemon in it. This recipe has featured on the show Khanakhazana. By Sanjeev Kapoor 04 May 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Chicken, Potato Cuisine Indian Course Main Course Chicken Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 31-40 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Chicken Salona 800 grams Chicken cut into 1 inch pieces on the bone Potato 2 tablespoons Oil 3 medium Onions coarsely chopped 2 medium Potatoes cut into cubes 4 Green chillies cut into ¼ inch pieces 3 cloves Garlic crushed 2 small Yellow Zucchini peeled and cut into thick slices 2 medium Eggplants/ brinjals peeled and cut into cubes 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon Coriander powder 1 teaspoon Curry powder to taste Salt 1 Dried lemon halved 1/4 cup Tomato puree 2 cups Chicken stock 1 medium Green capsicum diced Method Heat the oil in a deep non stick pan. Add onions and sauté till golden. Add the potatoes, green chillies and garlic and stir. Sauté for two minutes and then add the zucchini, eggplants and stir. Sauté for two minutes. Add the turmeric powder, coriander powder and curry powder and mix. Add the chicken, salt and the dried lemon halves and stir. Add tomato puree and mix. Add the chicken stock or water and mix. When it comes to a boil, add green capsicum and stir. Cover and cook on medium heat for half an hour. Serve hot.
