Ingredients list for Chicken Stew- Sk Khazana

  • 500 grams Boneless chicken breasts cut into 1/2 inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut oil
  • 1 inch stick Cinnamon
  • 3-4 Cloves
  • 5-6 Black peppercorns
  • 10-15 Curry leaves
  • 2-3 Green chillies slit
  • 1 large Onion thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups Coconut milk
  • to serve Steamed rice

Method

  1. Heat coconut oil in an earthen pot, add cinnamon, clove, black peppercorns, curry leaves, green chillies and onion, mix well and sauté till onion is translucent.
  2. Add chicken and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add salt, mix well, cover and cook for 8-10 minutes or till chicken is almost done.
  3. Add coconut milk and mix well. Cover and cook for 5-6 minutes or till the chicken is cooked completely.
  4. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot with steamed rice.
