Ingredients list for Jackfruit Seeds Sabzi - SK Khazana

  • 25-30 Jackfruit seeds (atle) boiled, peeled and quartered
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1-2 Green chillies chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Ginger grated
  • 2 teaspoons Garlic finely chopped
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • 1 cup Fresh tomato puree
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Garam masala powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Cumin powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoons coriander leaves chopped
  • for garnish coriander sprig
  • to serve Chapatis

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add green chillies, ginger and garlic, mix and sauté for 1-2 minutes or till fragrant.
  2. Add onion, mix well and sauté till translucent. Add tomato puree and mix well and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add garam masala, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and cumin powder, mix well and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Add salt, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes or till oil surfaces. Add ½ cup water and mix well.
  5. Add jackfruit seeds and coriander leaves and mix well. Cook for 1 minute and take it off the heat.
  6. Transfer into a serving plate garnish with coriander sprig. Serve hot with chapattis.
