By Sanjeev Kapoor 19 Mar 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Rice, Surti papdi Cuisine Gujarati Course Rice Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Lilva Rice 1 1/2 cups Rice soaked for 30 minutes and drained 100 grams Surti papdi 3 tablespoons Ghee 4 Cloves 1/2 inch Cinnamon 1 inch Ginger chopped 2-3 Green chillies chopped 3 tablespoons Green chutney to taste Salt 2 teaspoons Lemon juice to garnish Fresh coriander sprigs Method Heat ghee in a non-stick deep bottom pan, add cloves, cinnamon stick, ginger and green chillies, mix and sauté till fragrant. Add surti papdi, mix and sauté for 2 minutes. Add rice and mix well. Add green chutney and mix well. Add 2½ cups water and mix well. Add salt and mix well. Cover and cook till rice is done. Switch the heat off, add lemon juice and mix well.
