By Sanjeev Kapoor 28 Sep 2018 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Whole red lentils (sabut masoor), Medium onion Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 5-6 hour Cook time 31-40 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Masoor Tikki-SK Khazana 1 cup Whole red lentils (sabut masoor) soaked for 4-5 hours 1 Medium onion sliced 1 tablespoon Garlic chopped 1 teaspoon Ginger finely chopped to taste Salt 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder 3/4 cup Dried breadcrumbs 3 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1 teaspoon Chaat masala for shallow frying Ghee to serve Onion rings to serve Lemon wedges Method Cook together red lentils, onion, garlic, ginger, salt, chilli powder and garam masala powder in sufficient water till soft. Transfer into a bowl and mash and let it cool. Add breadcrumbs, coriander leaves and chaat masala powder and mix well. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape into tikkis. Heat some ghee on a non-stick tawa. Place tikkis on it and shallow-fry, turning sides, till golden brown on both the sides. Drain on absorbent paper.
