By Sanjeev Kapoor 31 May 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Nachni Uttappa Main Ingredients Split skinless black gram (dhuli urad dal), Finger millet (nachani) flour Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 2-2.30 hour Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients ½ cup black gram (urad dal) batter 3 tablespoons finger millet (nachni) flour Salt to taste ¼ teaspoon baking soda ½ tablespoon oil 1 small green capsicum, finely chopped 1 medium tomato, deseeded and finely chopped 1-2 green chillies, finely chopped 1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves 1 tablespoon ghee Method Mix together black gram batter, finger millet flour and sufficient water in a bowl to form a smooth batter. Add more water, if required, to adjust consistency. Add salt and baking soda and mix well. Heat oil in a non-stick tawa. Pour a ladleful of the prepared batter and spread evenly. Add green capsicum, tomatoes, green chillies, coriander leaves, ghee and cook till the underside turns golden brown. Flip and cook for 2-3 minutes.
