Ingredients for Nut Chikki Munchies Recipe

  • Almonds blanched and peeled 1/2 cup

  • Cashewnuts 1/2 cup

  • Walnuts 1/2 cup

  • Sesame seeds (til) 1/2 cup

  • Jaggery (gur) 1 1/2 cups

  • Saffron (kesar) a few strands

  • Ghee 1 tablespoon


Step 1

Roast the almonds and cashewnuts lightly and chop roughly. Crush walnuts.

Step 2

Grease a tray. Melt jaggery in a pan. Add saffron and mix. When the jaggery has melted completely add roasted sesame, cashewnuts, walnuts and almonds and mix well.

Step 3

Immediately transfer the mixture onto the greased tray and spread with a rolling pin. Dab some ghee on the surface and cut into squares when still hot.

Step 4

When it cools loosen the squares and serve.
