By Sanjeev Kapoor 29 Aug 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Prawns (medium), Coconut milk Cuisine Kerala Course Main Course Seafood Prep Time 6-10 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Peppered Prawns in Coconut Milk 16-20 Prawns (medium) peeled and deveined 3¼ cups Coconut milk 1 tablespoon Black peppercorns freshly crushed 3 tablespoons Coconut oil 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds 20 Curry leaves 3 medium Onions chopped 10 Garlic cloves chopped 1 inch Ginger chopped 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder 2 teaspoons Red chilli powder to taste Salt 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped Method Heat coconut oil in a non-stick kadai and add cumin seeds. As they begin to change colour, add curry leaves and onions and sauté till the onions turn brown. Add garlic, ginger, turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt and sauté for 1 minute. Add prawns and sauté for 3-4 minutes. Add coconut milk, mix well, and simmer for 2 more minutes. Sprinkle crushed peppercorns and mix gently.
