By Sanjeev Kapoor 22 Jun 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Quinoa, Burger buns Cuisine Fusion, , , , Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Quinoa Mozzarella Burgers ½ cup Quinoa 4 Burger buns halved horizontally 1 cup Mozzarella cheese grated 4-6 Sundried tomatoes chopped 1 Egg lightly beaten ½ cup Refined flour (maida) 2 Spring onions with greens chopped to taste Salt to taste Crushed black peppercorns 2 teaspoons Garlic chopped for shallow frying Oil 4 tablespoons Dijon mustard 1 medium Tomato sliced a few Iceberg lettuce leaves Method Boil quinoa with sun dried tomatoes in one and a half cups of water. Mix cooked quinoa and tomatoes with mozzarella, egg, flour, spring onion with greens, salt, crushed peppercorns and garlic in a bowl. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties. Heat some oil in a non-stick pan. Place the patties and shallow-fry, turning sides, till evenly done and fully cooked from both sides. Drain on absorbent paper. Lightly toast the buns on a non-stick tawa. Apply one tablespoon Dijon mustard on each base half of the buns, top with some lettuce leaves, a patty and two tomato slices. Cover with top half of the buns and secure with a toothpick.
