By Sanjeev Kapoor 18 Aug 2018 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Prawns, Salt Cuisine Indo-Chinese Course Main Course Seafood Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Tangy Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Sweet and Sour Prawns-SK Khazana 16-20 Prawns shelled and deveined to taste Salt to taste White peppercorns crushed 1 1/2 tablespoons Red chilli paste 1 tablespoon Cornflour to deep fry Oil 1 tablespoon Sesame oil 1 tablespoon Garlic chopped 1/2 tablespoon Ginger chopped 1/2 tablespoon Celery chopepd 2-3 Spring onion bulbsq roughly chopped 1 Medium green capsicum cut into triangles 2 tablespoons Tomato ketchup 1 teaspoon Vinegar 2 tablespo for garnish Spring onion greens chopepd Method Take prawns in a bowl, add salt, crushed peppercorns, ½ teaspoon chilli paste and cornflour and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 10-15 minutes. Heat sufficient oil in kadai. Deep-fry prawns till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper. Heat sesame oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic, ginger and celery, mix and sauté till fragrant. Add remaining chilli paste and mix well. Add spring onion bulbs and capsicum, mix and sauté for 2 minutes. Add ¼ cup water and mix well. Add salt, crushed peppercorns and tomato ketchup, mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes or till the sauce thickens slightly. Add fried prawns and mix well. Switch off heat, add vinegar and mix well. Add spring onion greens and mix well.
