By Sanjeev Kapoor 18 Nov 2024 in Recipes Powders New Update Bhajani Flour Main ingredients Short grain rice, Split Bengal gram (chana dal), Split skinless black gram (dhuli urad dal), Split skinless green gram (dhuli moong dal), Cumin seeds, Coriander seeds, White sesame seeds, Red chilli powder, Turmeric powder Cuisine Maharashtrian Course Powders Prep time 40-45 minutes Cook time 20-25 minutes Serve Taste Savoury Level of cooking Easy Others Vegetarian Ingredients 1½ cups short grain rice ¾ cup split Bengal gram (chana dal) ¼ cup split skinless black gram (dhuli urad dal) 1 tablespoon split skinless green gram (dhuli moong dal) ¼ tablespoon cumin seeds ¼ tablespoon coriander seeds 2 tablespoons white sesame seeds 1 tablespoon red chilli powder ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder Method Dry roast short grain rice in a non-stick pan till light golden. Transfer into a bowl and set aside to cool completely. Dry roast split Bengal gram in the same pan till it turns light golden. Transfer on to a large plate and set aside to cool completely. Similarly, dry roast split skinless black gram in the same pan till golden. Transfer on to the same plate and allow to cool completely. Dry roast cumin seeds, split skinless green gram and coriander seeds in the same pan for 1-2 minutes. Add white sesame seeds and continue to roast till the mixture is golden. Transfer this onto the same plate and allow to cool completely. Add roasted rice to the same plate along with red chilli powder and turmeric powder and mix till well combined. Allow the roasted mixture to cool completely.
