By Sanjeev Kapoor 16 Aug 2024 in Recipes Mithais New Update Chuhare Ka Halwa Main ingredients Dried black dates (chuhare), Milk, Ghee, Almonds, Cashewnuts, Pistachios, Dried coconut, Mawa, Sugar, Green cardamom powder Cuisine Indian Course Mithai Prep time 15-20 minutes Cook time 55-60 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of cooking Easy Others Vegetarian Ingredients 3 cups dried black dates (chuhare), seeded 3½ cups milk 2 tablespoons + ¼ cup ghee ¼ cup chopped almonds ¼ cup chopped cashewnuts 2 tablespoons chopped pistachios 2 tablespoons grated dried coconut ½ cup grated khoya/mawa 2 tablespoons sugar ½ teaspoon green cardamom powder Method Heat milk in a pan, add the, mix well and cook on medium heat for 35-40 minutes or till they soften completely. Set aside to cool. Transfer into a blender jar and grind to a coarse paste. Heat 2 tablespoons ghee in a pan, add almonds, cashewnuts, pistachios and coconut, mix and sauté till golden brown. Transfer into a bowl and set aside. Heat remaining ghee in the same pan, add the ground paste and sauté for 20-25 minutes or till the mixture is dry. Add khoya, mix and cook for 4-5 minutes. Add sugar, fried nuts and green cardamom powder, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
