Flax Seeds Laddoo These laddoos are not only loaded with essential nutrients, but are super delicious too. Easy and quick to make they will benefit young and old alike. By Sanjeev Kapoor 03 Jul 2024 in Recipes Mithais New Update Flax Seeds Laddoo Main ingredients Flax seeds, Jaggery, Raw peanuts, Almonds, Dried Coconut, Oats, White sesame seeds, Black sesame seeds, Water cress seeds, Green cardamom powder, Nutmeg powder, Ghee Cuisine Indian Course Mithai Prep time 20-25 minutes Cook time 15-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of cooking Easy Others Vegetarian Ingredients 1 cup flax seeds (alsi) 1½ cups chopped jaggery ½ cup raw peanuts ½ cup almonds ½ cup grated dried coconut ½ cup oats ¼ cup white sesame seeds 2 tablespoons black sesame seeds 2 tablespoons garden cress seeds (aliv) 1 teaspoon green cardamom powder 1 teaspoon nutmeg powder 1 tablespoon ghee + for greasing Method Heat a non-stick pan, add jaggery and ¼ cup water and cook till the syrup reaches one string consistency. Dry roast flax seeds on medium heat for 1-2 minutes. Transfer onto a plate and set aside in a plate to cool down. In the same pan dry roast raw peanuts for 2-3 minutes, transfer onto the same plate and set aside to cool down. Dry roast almonds on medium heat for 2-3 minutes, transfer onto the same plate and set aside to cool down. Dry roast dried coconut and oats for 1-2 minutes, transfer onto the same plate and set aside to cool down. Dry roast white sesame seeds, black sesame seeds and garden cress seeds together for 1-2 minutes, transfer into a bowl and set aside to cool down. Transfer the flax seeds mixture into a blender jar and grind to coarse powder. Add the ground flax seeds mixture to sesame seeds mixture. Add green cardamom powder, nutmeg powder and jaggery syrup and mix well. Add 1 tablespoon of ghee and mix well. Grease your palms with ghee, divide the mixture into equal portions and shape into balls while the mixture is still hot. Arrange them onto a platter and let them cool down completely.
