This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 27 Jul 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Pearl Millets, Tomatoes Cuisine Indian Course Rice Prep Time 6-10 minutes Cook time 31-40 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Bajre ke Masaledar Pulao 2 cups Pearl Millets soaked in water overnight 2 tablespoons Tomatoes 1 large Onion 1 inch Ginger 2 medium Tomatoes 1 teaspoon Kashmiri red chilli powder a pinch Turmeric powder 1 tablespoon Coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder to taste Salt Method Heat oil in a pressure pan. Roughly chop onion and add to the pan. Cut ginger into thin long strips and roughly chop tomato. Add both to the pan and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add Kashmiri red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and salt and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add pearl millets and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add 4 cups of water. Close the lid and cook on high heat up to 2 whistles. Lower the heat and cook for 10-12 minutes. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
