Ingredients list for Country Captain Chicken
- 1 kilogram Chicken cut into pieces
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- 3 large Onions sliced
- 2 inch sticks Cinnamon
- 4 Cloves
- 2 Green cardamoms
- 2 Dry red chilies broken
- 6-8 Black peppercorns
- 2 tablespoons Garlic paste
- 2 teaspoons Red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- to taste Salt
Method
- Heat oil in a non stick pan. Add onions, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, red chillies and peppercorns and sauté lightly.
- Add the chicken, garlic paste and sauté on medium heat for 5 minutes.
- Add the red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
- Add ½ cup water and cook till the chicken is tender and the gravy is quite thick.
- Serve hot.
