By Sanjeev Kapoor 23 Mar 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Advertisment Main Ingredients Sorghum (jowar) flour, Rice flour Cuisine Maharashtrian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Dhapate 1 cup Sorghum (jowar) flour 1/2 cup Rice flour 1/4 cup Whole wheat flour 1/4 cup Gram flour to taste Salt 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1 tablespoon Garlic finely chopped 1 Medium onion finely chopped 1 1/2 tablespoons Green paste (2 green chillies, 1 tsp cumin seeds and a handful 1/2 cup + to serve Yogurt 1/4 cup Fresh coriander leaves chopped as required Oil for platin Banana leaves Method Take sorghum flour in a mixing bowl, add rice flour, wheat flour, gram flour, salt, turmeric powder, garlic, onion, green paste, yogurt and coriander leaves and mix well. Add a little water and knead into a soft dough. Heat a non-stick tawa. Divide the dough into equal large lemon sized portions. Place a plastic sheet on the worktop, drizzle a little oil over and spread, place each dough ball on it, dampen your hand with water and gently tap the dough to flatten it into a thick roundel. Place the roundel on the hot tawa and cook for 1 minute. Flip and drizzle a little oil all around and flip again. Drizzle a little oil on the other side too and cook for 5-6 minutes over medium heat till golden brown specs appear on both sides.
