Ingredients list for Garlicky Paneer

  • 400 grams Cottage Cheese cut into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 12 cloves Crushed Garlic crushed
  • 3 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 3 medium Onions chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Ginger-garlic paste
  • 2-3 Green chillies slit
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup Cream
  • 3-4 cloves Garlic fried

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic, cumin seeds and onions and sauté for two minutes or till the mixture is lightly browned.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chillies and mix. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and red chilli powder and mix well.
  3. Add salt and yogurt and mix well. When the mixture comes to a boil, add paneer cubes and mix gently.
  4. Add garam masala powder, lemon juice and mix lightly. Add cream and switch off the heat. Garnish with fried garlic and serve hot.
