Ingredients list for Kashmiri Kahwa
- 4 teaspoons Green tea
- 1 Stick Cinnamon
- 2 Green cardamoms crushed
- 2 Cloves
- 4 pinches Saffron (kesar)
- 2 tablespoons Sugar/honey
Method
- Boil 3 cups of water in a deep non stick pan along with cinnamon, cardamom and cloves and pour over the tea.
- Leave to infuse on low heat for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, dissolve saffron in a little water by rubbing it gently.
- Strain the tea and add the saffron liquid together with almonds.
- Sweeten if you like and serve hot.
