Ingredients list for Kokum aur Nariyal ka Pulao
- 2 cups Scraped Coconut soaked
- 1 cup Kokum Petals
- 6-7 Kokum petals
- 1 tablespoon Ghee
- 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 15-17 Cashewnuts
- 1 medium Carrot cut into small cubes
- 10-15 Curry leaves
- 2-3 Dried red chillies
- 1/2 cup Green peas
- to taste Salt
- for garnis a few Mint
Method
- Adjust the rice cooker on cooking mode. Heat ghee in the rice cooker, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and cashewnuts and sauté till fragrant.
- Add carrot, curry leaves, dried red chillies and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add rice, coconut, kokum petals, green peas, salt and 3¾ cup water.
- Mix well and cook for 15-18 minutes or till done. Transfer onto a serving plate, garnish with mint sprig and serve hot.
