Pasta moong Bolognese

Ingredients

  • 2 cups penne pasta,boiled
  • 1/2 cup whole green grams, soaked, drained and boiled
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon  chopped celery 
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic 
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 medium tomato,chopped
  • 1/2 cup tomato puree
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper powder to taste
  • 6-8 basil leaves
  • 4 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese 

Method

  1. Heat oil and butter in a non stick wok.
    Add celery and garlic and saute.
  2. Chop onion in a chopper and add to the wok and saute, stirring, for 2 minutes.
    Add tomato and saute for 2 minutes. Add tomato puree and continue to saute.
  3. Add moong, ½ cup water, salt and pepper powder and mix well. Simmer for 2 minutes.
    Add penne and mix well.
  4. Tear fresh basil and add.
    Add 3 tbsps parmesan cheese and mix.
  5. Transfer into a serving dish and serve hot sprinkled with remaining parmesan cheese.
