Ingredients list for Spring Onion Pulao

  • 1 1/2 cups Spring Onion soaked
  • 6 Basmati Rice sliced
  • 3 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cumin seeds
  • 8-10 Garlic sliced
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 cup Spring onion greens chopped

Method

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. As they begin to change colour, add spring onions and garlic and sauté until brown. Stir in rice and mix gently.
  2. Add three cups of water, salt, garam masala powder and mix. Cover and simmer until water is absorbed and rice is cooked.
  3. Sprinkle lemon juice and serve hot garnished with spring onion greens.
