Ingredients list for Stuffed Bread Pudla

  • 8 Bread Slices
  • 4 tablespoons Gram Flour
  • 1 small Green capsicum chopped
  • 1 small Red capsicum chopped
  • 1 medium Tomato finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Cabbage finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 Green chilli finely chopped
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • for shallow frying Oil

Method

  1. Mix gram flour, green capsicum, red capsicum, tomato, cabbage, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, red chilli powder, green chilli, lemon juice and salt in a bowl. Add a little water and mix well to make a thick batter. Add coriander leaves and mix well.
  2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Place the bread slices on it one by one, pour a ladleful of batter on it and let the underside cook. Flip, drizzle some more oil on it and shallow-fry till evenly done from other side as well.
  3. Serve hot with green chutney and tamarind chutney.
