Ingredients list for Vegetable Lo Mein

  • 250 grams Spaghetti boiled
  • 1 cup Carrot grated
  • 1/2 cup Bean sprouts
  • 2 teaspoons Sesame oil
  • 2-3 Spring onion bulbs
  • 1/2 medium Onion
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic crushed
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger grated
  • 1 teaspoon Hoisin sauce
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Crushed black peppercorns
  • for garnishing Spring onion greens roughly chopped

Method

  1. Heat sesame oil in a non-stick pan.
  2. Slice spring onions and onion and add to the pan and sauté till lightly browned.
  3. Add garlic and ginger and mix well. Add carrot and mix well.
  4. Add spaghetti, hoisin sauce and salt and mix well. Add crushed peppercorns and mix well. Add bean sprouts and mix well. Add 2 tbsps water and toss well. Cook for few minutes.
  5. Transfer onto a serving plate, garnish with spring onion greens and serve hot.
