Ingredients list for Chicken Tikka Tacos

  • 2 Chicken Breasts cut into thin long pieces
  • 8 Taco Shells
  • 2-3 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic finely chopped
  • 1 large Onion cut into thin long slices
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • a pinch Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chaat masala
  • 1/2 medium Green capsicum cut into thin long strips
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • to taste Salt
  • 65 grams Bhuna masala
  • 1 medium Tomato cut into thin long strips
  • 1/2 cup Fresh cream
  • 8 Spinach leaves (palak)

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add ginger and garlic and sauté till the garlic becomes golden. Add onion and sauté till translucent. Add chicken breasts and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and chaat masala and sauté for half a minute.
  3. Add capsicum, lemon juice, salt and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add bhuna masala, tomato and mix well. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add fresh cream and mix well. Transfer into a bowl and cool the chicken mixture to room temperature.
  5. Place 1 spinach leaf at the base of each taco. Place the chicken mixture on the leaf. Transfer onto a serving plate and serve immediately.
