  • 1 medium tomato, finely chopped
  • ½ cup fresh tomato puree
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cream
  • ½ tablespoon finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • Thin strips of ginger for garnish

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a deep non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and sauté till colour changes.
  2. Add onion and sauté till it turns golden brown.
  3. Add salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, kasuri methi powder, garam masala powder and ginger-garlic paste. Sauté for a minute and add tomato. Cook till tomato turns pulpy.
  4. Cut paneer tikka pieces into triangles
  5. Add tomato puree to the pan and mix well. Cover and cook for 4-5 minutes or till oil separates. Add sufficient water to make gravy. Cover and cook till oil separates. Add lemon juice and mix well. Beat the cream lightly and add to the pan. Cook for a few seconds. Add paneer triangles and coriander leaves. Mix well and switch off heat.
  6. Cut off a thin slice from the top of each multigrain bun and scoop out from the centre to  create a deep cavity. Fill up the cavity with paneer tikka masala.
