Pav Bhaji Pull Apart The popular Mumbai street food served differently is just as tasty This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 08 Nov 2022 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Multigrain pavs, Oil Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 31-40 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Pav Bhaji Pull Apart 6 one-inch pieces Multigrain pavs 1 tablespoon Oil for brushi teaspoons Butter 2 medium Onions , finely chopped to taste Salt 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste 1 large Tomato , finely chopped 1 medium Green capsicum , finely chopped 1/2 cup Carrot , grated 1/2 cup Cauliflower , grated 2-3 medium Potatoes , boiled, peeled and mashed 1/4 cup Frozen green peas 1 1/2 tablespoons Pav bhaji masala 1 Green chilli , finely chopped 1 teaspoon Red chilli paste 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder 2 teaspoons Lemon juice 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves , finely chopped 1/2 cup Mozzarella cheese , grated 2 slices Cheese Method Preheat the oven to 180º C. Heat oil and 2 tsps butter in a non-stick pan, add onions and sauté till translucent. Add a pinch of salt, mix and sauté till onions turn golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste, mix and sauté till the raw smells disappear. Add tomato, mix and cook till it turns pulpy. Add capsicum and carrot, mix and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add cauliflower, potatoes and frozen green peas, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add salt, pav bhaji masala, green chilli, red chilli paste and garam masala powder, mix well and sauté. Mash the mixture well, add lemon juice and coriander leaves and mix. Add little water and mash again. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Place the set of pavs on a worktop and halve it horizontally. Place the base layer on the prepared tray and spread bhaji all over it. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese all over and place the cheese slices over. Cover with top layer of pavs, brush the top with butter. Keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 4-5 minutes or till cheese melts. Take the tray out of the oven, and place on a serving wooden platter with the parchment paper.
