This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 30 Nov 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Potatoes, Kashmiri Red Chillies Cuisine Goan Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Potato Recichad 2 large Potatoes Kashmiri Red Chillies 8-10 Kashmiri red chillies 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds 5-6 Black peppercorns 2 tablespoons Malt vinegar 5-6 cloves Garlic 4-5 Cloves 1/2 inch stick Cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder to taste Salt as required Banana leaves 1 tablespoon Oil Method Place red chillies in a bowl, add cumin seeds, black peppercorns and vinegar and soak for a while. Put them into a mixer jar, add garlic, cloves, cinnamon and grind to a fine paste. Add turmeric powder and grind again. Cut potatoes into thick oval slices. Sprinkle salt on them, spread a layer of the ground masala on half of them, cover with the remaining slices. Wrap these in banana leaves well to make parcels. Heat a non stick pan, place the parcels on it and cover and cook. Drizzle oil around the parcels, cover and continue to cook, turning sides, till the potatoes are completely cooked.
