How many times have we thought rice is a blessing? We use it for holy purposes but we also can pressure up a quick pulao or khichdi when hunger pangs are drumming away! This is one grain that is about 98% percent digestible. In India we are familiar with Basmati, Patna or brown rice but it is also available as Italian Rice and Glutinous Rice which is popular in Chinese and Japanese cuisines.

Ingredients for Carrot Corn Fried Chilli Recipe

  • Rice boiled 2 medium

  • Carrots 400 grams

  • Red chilli paste 1 teaspoon

  • Cooked rice 3 cups

  • Extra virgin olive oil 2 tablespoons

  • Garlic 7-8 cloves

  • Ginger 1 inch pie

  • Salt to taste

  • Sugar 1 teaspoon

  • Light soy sauce 2 teaspoons

  • Vinegar 2 teaspoons


Step 1

Cut carrots into corn sized cubes.

Step 2

Heat extra virgin olive oil in a non stick pan. Crush garlic and add and sauté.

Step 3

Finely chop ginger. When the garlic gets a bit burnt, add ginger and sauté.

Step 4

Add carrot and mix. Drain corn and rinse in fresh water and add to the pan and mix well.

Step 5

Add red chilli paste and rice and mix well. Add salt, sugar, soy sauce and vinegar and mix.

Step 6

Cook till the rice gets heated through.
