When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Goan Sausage Chilli Fry Recipe

  • Chicken sausages 10-12

  • Green capsicum sliced 1 medium

  • Onions finely chopped 2 medium

  • Tomatoes finely chopped 2 medium

  • Tomato puree 1 cup

  • Vinegar 2 tablespoons

  • Red chilli powder 1½ teaspoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Sugar ½ teaspoon

  • Butter 2 tablespoons


Step 1

Heat water in a non-stick, add sausages and boil for 2-3 minutes. Drain.

Step 2

Peel the outer layer of the drained sausages and cut them into large pieces.

Step 3

Heat butter in a non-stick pan, add onions and sauté till translucent. Add capsicum and mix well. Add tomatoes and sauté on high heat for 1-2 minutes. Add tomato puree and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Step 4

Add salt, red chilli powder and vinegar and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add sugar and mix well. Add chopped sausage pieces and mix well. Cook for 2 minutes.

Step 5

Serve hot.
