Ingredients list for Lal Gosht

  • 750 grams Mutton on bones pressure cooked
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 3-4 Bay leaves
  • 1 inch Cinnamon
  • 3-4 Dried red chillies
  • 6-8 Green cardamoms
  • 1 Blade mace
  • 6-8 Cloves
  • 400 grams Onions sliced
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Ginger-garlic paste
  • 3-4 tablespoons Rajasthani lehsun apple chutney

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add bay leaves, cinnamon, dried red chillies, cardamoms, blade mace and cloves and sauté for 30 seconds.
  2. Add onion and sauté till translucent. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  3. Add cooked mutton and lehsun apple chutney and mix. Add 1½-2 cups water, mix, cover and cook for 15 minutes.
  4. Add salt, cover and cook till done.
  5. Serve hot.
