Why is it that when you are stuck at “what should we cook today” the answer is always “make some aloo!” Potatoes are like this…extremely popular and have multipurpose usage.

And did you always think that eating a potato will make you fat?
Well, don’t – it is a surprising source of vitamin C and provides useful amounts of starch, thiamine and niacin and around a hundred grams will provide about eighty calories.

Ingredients for Tandoori Aloo- Sk Khazana Recipe

  • Baby potatoes parboiled in turmeric water and peeled 400 grams

  • Hung yogurt 1/2 cup

  • Ginger paste 2 tablespoons

  • Kashmiri red chilli paste 2 tablespoons

  • Roasted gram flour 1/4 cup

  • Dried fenugreek leaves (kasoori methi) powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Lemon juice 1 1/2 tablespoon

  • Mustard oil 1 1/2 tablespoons

  • Red chilli powder 3/4 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Oil to grease

  • Onion slices to serve

  • Lemon slices to serve

  • Fresh mint sprigs to garnish

  • Green chutney to serve


Step 1

Prick the potatoes all over with a toothpick.

Step 2

Take hung yogurt in a bowl and whisk it well. Add ginger-garlic paste, red chilli paste, dried fenugreek leaf powder, lemon juice and mustard oil and mix well. Add salt and Tata Sampann Chilli Powder and mix well.

Step 3

Add potatoes and garam masala powder, mix well and set aside for 10 minutes.

Step 4

Preheat the air-fryer to 200° C.

Step 5

Grease air-fryer basket with a little oil, place marinated potatoes in it, fit it to the air-fryer and cook for 20 minutes.

Step 6

Arrange them on a serving plate, garnish with onion slices, lemon slices, mint sprigs and green chutney.
