A salad is something that can complete a dish and take it a notch higher or it can sometimes be the dish itself. Always a great idea because not only does it provide you with a bunch of flavours and textures in each bite, it allows you to experiment like no other. Gone are the days when salad was boring it is now an essential part of every plate that goes out of a good kitchen.

Ingredients for Teesrya Koshimbir Recipe

  • Clams opened out and meat shifted to one side 400 grams

  • Coconut oil 1 1/2 tablespoons

  • Green chillies finely chopped 2-3

  • Onions finely chopped 2 medium

  • Salt to taste

  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon

  • Ginger finely chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Black pepper powder to taste

  • Kokum petals 3-4

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 4 tablespoons

  • Fresh coconut scraped 4 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

Heat coconut oil in a deep non-stick pan, add green chillies and onions, mix and saute for 2 minutes or till onions soften.

Step 2

Take clams in a bowl, add salt, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and ginger and mix well.

Step 3

Add the marinated clams to the pan and mix well. Sprinkle a little water and mix well and cook on medium heat for 5-10 minutes.

Step 4

Add black pepper powder, kokum pieces, coriander leaves and coconut and mix well. Cook on low heat for 2 minutes.

Step 5

Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
