This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 07 Mar 2017 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Button mushrooms, Basmati rice Cuisine Indian Course Rice Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Kumbh Pulao 20-25 Button mushrooms halved 1 1/2 cups Basmati rice soaked for ½ hour 2-3 tablespoons Ghee 6-8 Green cardamoms 4-5 Cloves 1 inch sti Cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon Caraway seed (shahi jeera) powder 2 Onion 6-8 cloves Garlic 1 inch piece Ginger 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1/4 cup Turmeric powder 1 cup Yogurt 1/4 teaspoon Green peas 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder to taste Salt Method Heat ghee in a handi. Add green cardamoms, cloves, cinnamon, cumin seeds, caraway seeds and sauté till fragrant. Finely slice onions and add. Chop garlic and add. Finely chop ginger, add and sauté. When onions turn light brown, add mushrooms and mix well. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and sauté. Add yogurt and mix well. Add 2 cups water and mix well. Add rice and mix well. Add green peas, garam masala powder, salt and mix lightly. Cover and cook till the rice is done. Serve hot.
