By Sanjeev Kapoor 24 Mar 2020 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Medium prawns, Ghee Cuisine South Indian Course Main Course Seafood Prep Time 6-10 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Prawns Ghee Roast - SK Khazana 400 grams Medium prawns shelled, deveined, washed and patted dry 3 tablespoons Ghee to taste Salt 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder 4-5 Dried red chillies 1 tablespoon Coriander seeds 1 tablespoon Cumin seeds 6-8 Cloves 8-10 Black peppercorns 8-10 cloves Garlic 1 tablespoon Tamarind pulp 3 tablespoons Yogurt whisked 1 tablespoon Jaggery chopped 10-12 + to garnish Curry leaves Method Take prawns in a bowl, salt and turmeric powder and mix well. Dry-roast dried red chillies in a non-stick pan and transfer into a bowl. Dry roast coriander seeds, cumin seeds, cloves and black peppercorns in the same non-stick pan till fragrant. Transfer all the spices into a grinder jar. Add garlic, tamarind pulp and sufficient water and grind to a smooth paste. Heat ghee in the same non-stick pan, add the ground paste, mix and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add yogurt, mix and cook for 1 minute. Add salt and mix well. Add the marinated prawns and mix well. Cover and cook for 4-5 minutes. Add jaggery, mix and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add curry leaves, mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.
