And not just biryanis, curries, bakes and all other preparations with this wonderful meat are always special. Ingredients for Bhuna Gosht-SK Khazana Recipe

  • Mutton cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces on the bone 750 grams

  • Oil 4 tablespoons

  • Green cardamoms 6

  • Black peppercorns 10-12

  • Cloves 4

  • Dried red chillies broken 4

  • Onions finely chopped 1 1/2 cups

  • Ginger-garlic paste 2 tablespoons

  • Red chilli powder 1 tablespoon

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Coriander powder 1 tablespoon

  • Green cardamom powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Yogurt whisked 1 cup

  • Tomatoes finely chopped 1/2 cup

  • Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped 2 tablespoons

  • Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Fresh coriander sprig for garnish

Method

Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add green cardamoms, black peppercorns, cloves and dried red chillies. Sauté for a minute. Add onions and sauté till well browned.

Step 2

Add mutton pieces and sauté till light brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.

Step 3

Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, green cardamom powder and salt. Mix well.

Step 4

Add yogurt and mix well, cover and cook for 30-35 minutes on low heat.

Step 5

Add tomatoes, mix well. Cover and cook for another 30 minutes or till mutton is tender.

Step 6

Add coriander leaves and garam masala powder, mix well.

Step 7

Serve hot garnished with coriander sprig.
