Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Butter Chicken Poutine Recipe

  • Chicken Tikka readymade 450 grams

  • Oil 1 tablespoon

  • Green cardamoms 3-4

  • Mace 1

  • Cinnamon ½ inch

  • Tomatoes pureed 3-4

  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

  • Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Honey ½ teaspoon

  • Fresh cream ½ cup + for greasing

  • Dried fenugreek leaves (kasoori methi) crushed ¼ teaspoon

  • Butter 1 tablespoon

  • French fries as required

  • Processed cheese cut into small cubes 100 grams

  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing


Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick pan.Add cardamom, mace, cinnamon and sauté till fragrant.

Step 2

Add tomato puree, mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes.

Step 3

Add red chilli powder and garam masala powder and mix well.

Step 4

Add salt and honey, mix and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add cream and mix well.

Step 5

Add fenugreek leaves and mix. Add butter and mix well.

Step 6

Remove from heat and strain the gravy into a bowl.

Step 7

Place some French fries in a serving platter. Top with chicken tikka pieces, some more French fries and some more chicken tikka pieces. Pour the prepared gravy, drizzle some cream and add some cheese cubes.

Step 8

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve immediately.
