Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Fried Sausage Stir Fry Recipe

  • Chicken sausages cut into 3 inch pieces and halved 4 large

  • Refined flour (maida) 3/4 cup

  • Rice flour 3 tablespoons

  • Semolina (rawa/suji) 3 tablespoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Oil 2 tablespo for deep-frying

  • Garlic cloves 4

  • Ginger 1/2 inch

  • Onions sliced 2 medium

  • Green chillies 2

  • Green capsicum seeded and cut into juliennes 1 medium

  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

  • Cumin-coriander powder 2 teaspoons

  • Tomato ketchup 2 tablespoons

  • Vinegar 1 tablespoon

  • Fresh coriander sprigs a few


Step 1

Combine half the refined flour and 2 tablespoons rice flour in a bowl. Add salt, crushed peppercorns and mix well. Add sufficient water and mix well into a thick batter. Add2 tablespoons semolina and mix well.

Step 2

Combine remaining refined flour, rice flour and semolina on a plate. Add salt andcrushed black peppercorns and mix well.

Step 3

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Roll the sausages in the flour mixture, dip in the batter and deep-fry till golden and crisp.Drain on an absorbent paper.

Step 4

Chop garlic and ginger.

Step 5

Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a non-stick pan. Add chopped garlic and ginger and sauté well.Add onions and sauté till golden.

Step 6

Slit green chillies and add, continue to sauté.

Step 7

Add capsicum and toss well. Add salt, red chilli powder, cumin-coriander powder and tomato ketchup. Sprinkle little water and mix well.

Step 8

Add fried sausages and mix well. Switch off heat and add vinegar and crushed black peppercorns.

Step 9

Chop some coriander sprigs and add. Mix well.

Step 10

Serve hot garnished with a coriander sprig.
