By Sanjeev Kapoor 27 Jun 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Chicken on the bone, Whole wheat flour (atta) Cuisine Fusion, , , , Course Main Course Chicken Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Country Style Chicken Stew 750 grams Chicken on the bone cut into medium pieces 1 tablespoon Whole wheat flour (atta) 2 tablespoons Oil 1 tablespoon Garlic chopped 4 Cloves 2 Bay leaves 4 Black peppercorns 1 medium Carrot cut into small batons 8-10 Cauliflower florets 10 Shallots 1 stalk Celery cut into 1 inch pieces 4-5 French beans cut into ½ inch pieces 1 medium Turnips peeled and cut into small batons 1 medium Potato peeled and thickly sliced to taste Salt to taste Black pepper powder for garnishing Fresh parsley sprigs, 2-3 + Method Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and sauté for 10 seconds. Add flour and mix well. Add chicken, mix and sauté for a minute. Add 2 cups water and mix well. In a muslin cloth, add cloves, bay leaf and peppercorns and tie it into a small bag. Add this to the pan, stir, cover and cook for 5 minutes. Add carrot, cauliflower, shallots, celery, beans, turnip and potato, stir to mix. Add salt and mix well. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add pepper powder and mix well. Roughly chop parsley, add, mix and cook for 2 minutes. Discard the spice bag.
